REQUIREMENT
This road-lining crew was using a single operator between one bulldozer and one skidder. This meant there was always one piece of equipment idle – a highly unproductive situation. They needed to take one machine out of the picture to increase their ROI.
SOLUTION
APPM purchased a suitable donor skidder arch, fabricated a drawbar and then plumbed this into the bulldozer’s hydraulics. The operator is now able to operate the grapple and arch from a single joystick in the cab, allowing the bulldozer to be used for both roading and logging. The freed-up skidder is now being used by another crew.
