Hydraulic Skyline Hauler

REQUIREMENT

A modern reliable hauler with skyline that is controllable while other ropes are in motion. 

SOLUTION

APPM bought a machine purposed for the build, and stripped it back to the bare chassis. We fitted a hydraulic undercarriage and modern guarding package. A new cab was purpose-designed and built. Fitting a fully electronic control system means no air was needed in the cab, and all functions are controlled from two joysticks.

APPM Replaced all the bearings and rebuilt all brake and clutch assemblies. We also fitted a remote mounted cooling package for ease of servicing in engine bay.

The hydraulically-driven skyline is specifically designed to isolate the skyline from the main driveline – giving the operator full controllability, regardless of any main and tail drum operation.
